Though I’m not one to obsess over celebrities or get caught up in the crazy hype of their personal lives, I do admit to taking a huge interest in Beyoncé Knowles. Almost always drenched in a canopy of beautiful clothes and gorgeous jewelry, Beyoncé’s appearance is not what makes her massive appeal. Her singing voice and performances are what really spark my admiration. Similar to an Olympian athlete, Beyoncé has perfected her talents and truly mastered her craft.
I’ll never forget how halcyon and satisfied I felt after finally seeing her in concert last Spring. I couldn’t have been more impressed by her legendary dance moves and beyond amazing voice. She completely dominates the stage as her alter ego Sasha Fierce, and imbues feelings of happiness, excitement, and empowerment throughout her entire audience. I hope to one day be as confident as Beyoncé. She knows her capabilities, accepts her flaws, and has faith within herself. As a singer myself, Beyoncé is the perfect idol.
